Penn Middle School was built in 1913. It served as the primary junior high for all poor ethnic immigrants who lived on the city’s southern side. The most famous person to attend school here was Jack Cramb who attended school here in 1933. He was a two way player in football, serving as both defensive back and quarterback, before joining the army to fight in World War II. He went on to become the Clippers head coach. Not the LA Clippers though, the Columbiana Clippers. I know this isn’t interesting, but its everything I have been able to find.
